    Morning Peeps

Just looking for some input with regards to my heater unit which is not providing warm air even with the Climate control set to Hi. I tried to log in with Vagcom V.409 and Receive the error "to many communication errors" with group (08), Also I felt the hoses that go to the heater core in the engine bay and both are warm...

Sounds like the the motor that runs the flap is the problem. Maybe it's popped off the clip and the flap is stuck on cold air.
Heard its a pig of a job to get to, dash out story :(

Let me get out of bed and have a look :)

also you could try jim Ellis audi parts on the interweb. Their site as a lot of parts diagrams, but you will need to look at a TT or Mk4 as they don't have the S3 listed

I have not experienced cold for a few years now.
My car doesn't even have water running into the inside heater core, going to take it out when I open the dash up.

    Update

I managed to get into the HVAC system and no error codes found

I used 49c and the car was running around 110-120 degree's, thought my thermo might be stuck closed so replaced that today, now while driving my temp is around 97 degree's and at idle hit's 100 degree's and fans kick in.

Flushed my coolent system but have not yet flushed the heater core with hose pipe.... Im going to flush the core next weekend, if that doesnt resolve it could it be my waterpump is failing?

Have you replaced the coolant temp sensor?

Another thing to do, that most people over look, clean the radiator fins. You will be amazed how much dirty gets stuck in the fins. Don't use a pressure washer though as it will bend the fins in the radiator !

Updated on this thread, removed the pipes on the heater core connecters and we found Silicone blocking up both inlet and outlet, removed and heat is restored.

I have checked the car interior for Water, no funny smells either... Think it was just a stupid solutions to leaking O-rings on the connectors
