How to manually search radio stations?

Got an Audi s3 with Bose system just wondering how u manually search radio stations, It just searches to the next well known ones if you get me.

Got one of them fm transmitters for my iPhone you see, need find a clear Chanel to tune into

Depends which HU you have, Concert I Concert II or Symphony (double DIN).
Concert I I think you just switch off the AS button (auto search)
Concert II (CD player) you press the MENU button, select search then select manual

BTW FM transmitters are a hideous pile of shyte, buy a proper Connects2 adapter to get a proper AUX in

any idea why my FM transmitter on the ipod gives **** signal first thing in the morning but works ok in the evening? Always confused me that...
