Hi all I have a question regarding this so called owl sound. Derv is a 1.9 AHU 90 and has had a full muflerectomy, decat, egr blank and aftermarket mushroom filter. I have been on YouTube and seen the videos of people getting the owl (woosh) sound and I like it. My question is what do I need to do to get it? Thank you

My owl disappeared on my AVF after putting a full 2.5" decat system on.

That is what I was thinking , but what sort of bov would I need? I didn't realise you could fit one to a diesel? I never had the owl before I did the muflerectomy, and is one of the reasons I did it.

The AHU doesn't have a VNT turbo it has a normal wastegate. The varying of the VNT is what makes the owl sound.
Don't put a dump valve on a diesel complete waste of time. Will slow you down and you need all the help you can get with 90bhp.

You sure that £50 will buy you ECU, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, CAT, injectors, PD130 turbo, all boost pipes, N75 + wiring and all the necessary bits you require ? I agree that buying James a4 might work cheaper as you can keep all the bits you want and scrap/sell the rest...Still a long way off buying the whole conversion, i need to move in your neck of woods as them prices seem unreal ! Bad turbo cores sell for 50 quid where i live...

You wouldn't believe adam, for a full leather interior door cards the lot, any thing with leather on it they wanted 45 quid, not a tear in sight. Facelift air vents, 2 quid!! Not the 20-30 I have seen them for on eBay

I would bud, but they don't do that sort of thing. It's not a breakers as such, it's a proper old school scrap yard. And went down today and there isn't much down there vag wise

It's the vanes closing on the vnt turbo, as stated yours is a wastegate.
