How do I distinguish aan A3 1.8T 180HP from a 150 HP?are there any cosmetic differences?do they have different engines?and from what year were they built?
I thought only the quattro was 180bhp, all other 1.8T's were 150 as standard.
The 180's are supposed to have a red "T", but obviously not a guarantee of anything.
Just look at the sticker in the spare wheel well, 110kW = 150bhp, 132kW = 180bhp

No some non quattros also have a k03s, animals one which hes just bought has got a k03s i think. all quattros after a certain date, not sure if it was post facelift had k03s. But all the fwd a3's are mapped too 150bhp, but with the k03s with the right mods you can get 230bhp.
If its a quattro it's 180 BHP, but as stated some facelifts have a k03s's fitted and are capable of more than the std 150 they come out of the box with
nope there are no 180bhp 2wd cars, although the later 2wd 2000 onwards (some still had KO3) had the same KO3s that the 180bhp quattro was eqipped with.....so giving you a better tuning figure
