How much oil?

this has probably been discussed a number of times but i cant seem to find it anyway.
Servicing my A3 2.0tdi 170bhp at the weekend, does anyone know how much oil they take?

typically 4.5 litres if filter changed... best pour in 4 litres, check dip stick and add more as required.

yeah 4.5 when changing the filter and near as dam it 5ltrs if you put a new sump on

Put 4 litres in, run engine at tickover for half a minute or so while checking for leaks, switch off, let the oil settle while you have a cup of tea, then check and top up as necessary.

Ideal, I'm doing fuel filter aswell but apparently there's a choice of 3

Get it from tps or a dealer give them reg they should be able to work out what it needs to be
