how much does your local dealer charge to carry out a diagnostic?

    Guildford Audi charged me £38 + VAT (£44.65 inc.) last year to run diagnostics and clear a fault code.

    Mine nothing as well, but I service the car in a Bosch Car Service (the owner is one of my best mates) and gets plugged in a Bosch esiTronic diagnostic system...

    Oh and the local dealer probably charges around 60euro ~ £40 for a diagnostic check

    Usuall they charge nothing less than half an hour's labour.

    thats mad, if its jus for clearing fault codes and a VAG-COM read out the free version of Vag com and a £20 lead from eBay will take care of that....
