    Hi guys

As some of you know I'm on the look out for an A4 cab (2006/2007).
I've been looking for a bit now and I have noticed the prices are quite different,
I've been looking at the s-line with under 70k on the clock and they start from about £6750 up to £9000.

Ive been on Parkers and they say just around £9500.

Can anyone help me out a little please??

    Cheers Johnny

    Hi Johnny,
I bought our '56 plate 53,000 miles on the clock S Line Cab last summer and paid 10,500 for it from our neighbour. Whilst that was on the high side of the market prices for similar models it was the exact model we wanted and we plan to keep it for 10 years. Once you do the maths over the long period of planned ownership the odd thousand or two extra pounds makes little difference. As the old saying goes....Something is worth what people are prepared to pay for it.
My advice would be to look for one with the right colour scheme and as high end level of accessories as possible and they try to negotiate the best deal possible and anything you save can go towards the dreaded oil pump shaft fund should you buy a diesel model.

The other thing to keep in mind with cabriolets is that values are seasonal; they tend to be noticeably more expensive to buy in the spring and summer than in autumn and winter.

i was going to but the salesman wasn't moving on the price and if I wanted warranty if would cost extra (£240 for 3 years), nothing knocked off, nothing thrown in, no deal to be done, "what you see is what you pay".
I would of been happy with all in for £8.5k and that's only £300 off, which is nothing on a £8.8k car in my eyes. It's just something.

Am I wrong in thinking they should move a little?

tbh thats was prety cheap for that car i thought it was underpriced
many a dealer would have had it up at between 9.5/10k

And it was £1k more than yours with 20k more miles.

But do you think they might move if I show some more interest?

Why? They don't have to move at all if they're confident they can sell for the advertised price.
