Any help appreciated along with my stuttering idle noise.

PS, these faults dont bring up any driver warning lights

    Regards

I vagcomd a golf i went to buy and it had these faults:

    5 Faults Found:
01366 - Opened Due to Crash Signal
    35-00 - -
    01374 - Alarm triggered by Terminal 15
    35-00 - -
01370 - Alarm triggered by Interior Monitoring
    35-00 - -
01616 - Signal Wire to Interior Monitor
    36-10 - Open Circuit - Intermittent
    00955 - Key 1
    09-10 - Adaptation Limit Surpassed - Intermittent

They meant it had been in a crash...

I think yours is the same and the airbig and seatbelt has tensioned (there's a small explosion in the tensioner which tightens it and lets go afaik)....

Did you clear it and did it come back ?

Those faults should bring on the airbag light at a minimum. Does the airbag light come on for a few secs and go out when you switch on the ignition?

Yeah the car has previously been in a crash.

Yeah, when i turn he ignition on, below the radio, the light that says passenger airbag is on comes on and goes off once the engine is started.

i think to clear the first 2, you may need crash sensors for the front.

Were they replaced after the crash?

Ahh right ok, is anyone able to post up the part numbers for those 2 crash sensors?

I'm not sure if they were replaced as the crash was 3 owners back. So does that mean if i do have a crash, the airbags wont deploy?

Yes the airbag system will be in-active - however I would also expect the airbag fault light to be illuminated all the time to let you know.

It may be that some kind of cheap repair / re-program has taken place on the Airbag module as this has to be replace in the event of crash that triggers the airbags.

I would recommend that you have the system diagnosed professionally as it is a safety critical system and doesn't seem to be functioning correctly.

    O s**t.

There is no airbag light on the car. If any normal person who didn't diagnose there car they would never know.

I think i'll get the garage to check it out.

    Cheers mate
