Having a issue with the horn and rear demister.
Did a VCDS Scan:
00906 - Horn (H1)
009 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent
00834 - Signal for Activation of Heated Rear Window
009 - Open or Short to Ground
On further inspection turns out the horn was faulty and may have been shorting out.
I have cleared the codes and tried a new horn, but still doesnt work
Getting 3v-4v reading at horn wiring but when pressing the horn it doesnt increase to 12v as expected.
Also using VCDS have verified that when pressing the horn on the wheel it is sending a signal.
With the rear demister fault, it has always never worked since owning the car
noticed there was a missing fuse so replaced that and this has cleared the code. However it still does not work, Have had a look under the boot cover and did a continuity test on the rear demister and this is all ok,
Also when the rear demister plug is disconnected get a 12v reading on the wires but as soon as plugged in it goes to 0v.
Stuck on how to fix these issues.
Or if theres anyone local who could take a look or i could drive to would appreciate it, and would be able to sort something out etc
