Hi All,

I have an Audi A3 1.8T Quattro Sport. MY2000

I wonder if someone has had the same problem as me and knows what the answer is??:bye:

When I accellerate over 5000 rpm in 2nd all is ok, after changing into 3rd there seems to be a slight hesitency, accelleration dips but still continues over 5000 rpm, after going into 4th the engine does not go through 5000 rpm very easily or quickly.

It seems that the engine is being starved of air to allow the engine to rev freely.

I am not sure if this is a MAF sensor issue of the air filter needs replacing:blink:. I have seen MAF senser cleaners on e-bay, not sure if this would work.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks

sounds abit like my fanult at the moment, take a look at the thread called,****** missfire.

I have also seen this thread.

Question it does sound like my problem is being caused by the MAF sensor! Is it easy to remove and clean?

Cheers
