My 2.5 diesel engine revs high sometimes while am driving, as I go to brake the revs stick over 1500 and I have to put it into neutral as I have an auto and have to fight against the engine, It doesn't always do it so am thinking maybe the throttle body? Any ideas????

Ive cleaned my throttle body out today and it was ok till i pulled up at the set of lights, left my car in drive with my foot on the brake and the revs just started climbing up again and wont die down until I start driving again :(

Perhaps a diagnostic check would show something.I wouldn't like to drive my auto with this happening

Right I've pin pointed when it happens...when the temp gets to 90 then the high revs kick in
