1st off had anyone used them, they're based in manchester,
i've searched on the internet and asked a few friends who recommended this site (as they are local-ish for me)
for an Audi A4 (99-01 kit) and these options came up
Specialists in HID conversion kits, HID Xenon Conversions kits & Xenon Bulbs - Xenon HID Headlight Upgrade Kits from HIDs DIRECT Ltd
i was going to buy the ULTRA KIT (£54.99), but having called them asking their opening hours
they said i need the CANBUS-PRO KIT (£59.99) and in the same search (link above)
they do a H7 kit (same box and description) for £49.99.
it seems they charge a 5er for the AUDI name at the beginning of the description and all 3 kits are canbus compatible. :S
are they jus trying to get more money outta me??

    HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!!

    Wayne :S :S :S

For my previous car I bought a Canbus compatible HID kit from HIDS DIRECT (it was their Canbus Pro Kit) but after a month or so, one of the ballasts started to fail intermittently, only coming on 50% of the time. I asked them if they could send me a replacement, but they told me I'd have to send back the faulty one first. It would have been much better from a customer service point of view if they sent the replacement out and then have the customer send back the faulty one after swapping over. It's not like they can use it! I'd have to pay someone to remove the faulty ballast and then pay again to have them replace the new one at a later date. I decided to cut my losses and take my business elsewhere.

In the end I went for a Canbus HID kit from Xenonshop.co.uk which is owned by a member on here, Andi1, who also did a great group buy on here for LED sidelights. Their kit never once let me down in almost 2 years. I wouldn't go with Hids Direct again. xx

I know most places have the same policy on this Bez and totally understand why :icon_thumright:. I also had a problem with them only sending me 2 of the 3 pairs of MTEC bulbs I had paid for and they refused to send the other pair out, as it was listed on the enclosed despatch note. I couldn't prove otherwise, so just left it, but wasn't happy :(. That's more the reason why I decided to go elsewhere in future, not so much about the ballast TBF. xx
