hi all ive got some silly questions

    hi all im doing my cam chain tensioner and in the gide it say get it to tdc but how do i no when its at top dead center and where is it best to turn the engine over from ?:blush:

    If you jack up the drivers side wheel and stick the car in 5th or 6th you can turn it over using the road wheel, if you take the cambelt upper cover off you will then see the marks you need to line up

    While you shouldn't have to remove the inlet cam from the timing chain just be aware that if you do that you need to make sure you set the right amount of links between the cam timing marks...

    ....and use a new gasket and half moon seal... they come in a kit and cost about a fiver from a dealer
