It looks like a new model but the X plate leads me to think it's 2001, ? re-shelled.JamS3 said:Not sure of the age but its the new version from 2006 onwards
Ah right but it makes it look older doesn't it. I've not seen a plate like this on a superb new car. FYI saw a Black R8 in Devon with OY 57 ??? looked superb, I look at cars not plates, maybe OK if the car's naff but a nice car doesn't need them in my eyes.JamS3 said:Its his personal plate!

Sorry not obvious to me. I have seen several rebodied motors my mate ran a bodyshop and you'd be surprised what folks do! Still if you have an original 2.7 B5 good on you and hang on to it!! CheersChriS3 said:Strange point of view as it obviously a private plate. The only RS4s available in 2001 were the B5's not B7's. Body style alone should tell you that its a new car. (mine is on a '98 plate)
N8KOW said:Private plates are bought for a variety of reasons and usually say different initials. My plate is N8 KOW. I'm not tryin to make my car look like an N reg, its my name.
N8 = Nate (Nathan - First Name)
KOW = Kowalski (Surname)

ChriS3 said:I don't think I'll be able to explain this but I'll try. They didn't make B7's in 2001 and you can't reshell a B5 into a B7. And mine is a 2007 4.2 on a '98 private plate (R5 AWD), I was making the point that plates don't dictate the model year.
