got an a3 8l 1.8 20vt partner was using the car yesterday and all of a sudden the whole car started vibrating and the brakes seemed to fail, warning buzzer was going and there was a fault light on the dash but couldnt see it due to the DIS LCD display not showing up properly.. got a 500 mile round trip to do friday with a young child in the car is it going to be safe??? any help with fixing this would be appreciated. thanks in advance....

Do you have a friend or know anyone who has the own plug in diagnostics machine? plug it in and this should bring up a fault code and tell you the probem

asking the forum if its safe is a silly question.
you have to decide if its safe to carry a child infact safe to carry anyone at all.
it may have stored a fault code get it scanned that's the vest thing to do.
