Havin probs with my S4, again! Surprisingly! When I start it up, it idols badly, hunts around the revs up and down and eventually stalls, if you give it any gas it just won't go, coughs splutters and dies.

Thing is with MAF unplugged it'll idol fine, driveable but just with not a lot of go. So you'd think knackered MAF but had 2 brand new Audi units on it now and still no joy.

Any ideas anyone? Anything? Before I bite the bullet and drop it off at Audi.....for them to empty my wallet!

Got another one under guarantee to put on today so I'll see what happens then. Also got some other codes the other day, anyone shed any light on what thet mean?

The above two reading on a couple of forums say that there could be boost leaks in the hoses or possible leakes in the vacuum hoses to the Diverter valve of the boost controll valve making the car not hold boost properly.

I had this one the other day because the battery kept going flat from all the starting and stopping while the car was dead.

ive got the same 'power supply' message come up on miens too.

the battery has never been replaced and im thinking that might be the cause.

looking in to getting a new battery soon. old one looks knackered.

if you get it sorted before me let us know mate.

Well, had the diverter valves replaced with 2 new 710n's and the car seems fine now, so I'm told by the garage, just gotta clear the codes and hopefully all should be well again, obviously the recent chip has taken it's toll on the weak links, so big deal, nice cheap fix, for once! Picking it up tomorrow so should feel if it's ok. Fingers crossed!

Have you not replaced the MAF? A faulty MAF quite often throws random codes out.

Also, with the 'Charge Deviation', i'd get a pressure test done somewhere sooner rather than later(asamfp). A boost leak recently killed my new K04's with less than 1,000 miles under their belt!

Had 3 MAFs on it now, 2 brand new from Audi, so I'm thinking its not that, damn unlucky if it is! Geting all the pipes checked tomorrow, so a pressure test is on the cards I think.

Collected it today and it's all good, running sweet again, apart from a ticking noise from the top of the engine on bank 2, I'll investigate that further anoter day, could be worn cam chain tensioner maybe.
Getting ABS module sorted 1st though.
Plus investing in a full set of silicone hoses now though, try and avoid future problems like this, thats the 2nd hose to go in a few weeks, only just replaced throttle body boot.
