Help

Hi,
A mate of my was playing with his hidden menu on his 57 a5 3.0 tdi not knowing what he was doing. I dont know what he changed, but now nothing works on his MMI. I think his control unit might have gone

Can someone advise me on who and how to get this sorted.

I know if you change the loader settings to boot ( I think) you can lock the MMI as it wants a signal that will never come.

Go to the A5-OC website and Google 'bricked MMI' - I know people on there can unlock them.

He did say he last saw something that said boot loader or similar.

Yep, that'll be the one! Never mess with the boot loader.

From what I can gather (from my admittedly brief search), your mate needs to get hold of a set of MMI disks and reload the whole thing! Might be worth a call to the nearest steale..., err, dealer, to see if they can help.
