Well the first thing to do is check for fault codes.

Think the B5 code is '8D'. Run the 'Auto Scan' feature (do not click 'include airbags'). This will check for all fault codes.

If that comes back clean, you want to go to 'Engine', then go into 'Measure Blocks'. Probably best searching the Vag-com forum for the best blocks for you to check on your car.

I mihgt be wrong here, but I think the HVAC is just something to do with the central locking.

To measure the blocks, go into the 'Engine' module and click on 'Measure Blocks'. This will give you the option to look at (and log) up to three seperate blocks.

The more blocks you choose, the slower the update intervals, so if you're wanting to do a max MAF reading, you're best off just logging against Block 003 on it's own.

The blocks I measure on my S4 are:
    Block 001 - Lambda intervals
    Block 003 - MAF readings
Block 032 - Check fuel trim (ie: how much the fuelling is having to be altered due to incorrect a/f mixture)
Block 115 - Specified/Actual Boost readings (large gaps between these values indicate a boost leak)

I'd recommend you check block 32 at idle first. Any values of more than a few % show a fuelling problem.

Then Log 115 at WOT in 3rd gear. This will highlight any boost leaks.

Then Log 003 at WOT in 3rd gear to see what your peak MAF reading reads. Your tuner should know what sort of MAF values you should be reaching with your map.

Thanks Blue Thunder, thats helped me out alot!! im going to try that and see what happens. i suspect a boost leak or a bad MAF sensor.

    cheers mate.
