Hello all I am a new member and would really appreciate some help. I have a just had a 2003 (53 plate) S3 it has a OEM single CD unit and BOSE is it normal for the speaker in the boot (left hand side) to distort sound (farting noise)the BASS is set to + 2 and on volume 12 its unbearable.

Don’t know if this makes any difference but the car had only covered 500 miles before I got a hold of it. Its 14 months old would this be covered under Audi Warranty?

    Thank for any advice!

Fairly normal for the Bose sub to fart & distort as it uses the same tupperware enclosure of the non Bose unit. I would get it checked under warranty though (3 years is standard) as it shouldn't do this at low volumes.

Would you call 12 a low volume?
