    Hi All

The Audi A3 is my 7th car and in all my cars I've had a sound system of some sort installed.

In the A3 I have the Symphony II with 6 CD Changer built in. I'm happy enough with it but I'm looking to install my Focal 10'' Sub and also get some Diamond speakers, sounds simply enough.

Problem is I don't want to replace the head unit (although I have a £300 Alpine head unit in the garage). Will I still get a good enough sound from the current head unit and will the Sub go into the unit ok?

    Thanks

    J

(This thread is also in ICE but don't know how many replies I'd get within that section)

You will be able to do somethin as there is already an external amp to power the sub thats in the boot. it would be easier to use the alpine unit to be fair i think as it definately has the proper pre outs etc...

Good choice of sub and speaker combo! i have it the other way round though, diamond sub and focal components!
