Help on my mates golf gttdi 110 bhp

Hiya guys i no this is not the right place to put this but a friend has got a 110bhp golf mapped to about 150bhp,he has said he has had so much fun but one day it went dead and he had to turn the car off and on and all ok,Limp mode i said,he has never had the power he used to have and i have done a log of his car not sure if its the right thing but i hope you can help i scanned for faults and only one come up,17965 Charge Pressure Control ??? any help would be great this is his log

I know nothing about diesels , I did a quick google of the fault code though and found this 17965 - P1557 Charge Pressure Control: - TDIClub Forums if it's any use to you. N75 valve is a possible cause.

Check vacuum hoses to and from charge pressure valve . Could be valve itself it can be checked by operating it thro vag1552, vag com or vcds should get a nice regular clicking sound from valve

Have a look at the link below mate. I'd say it's the N75 valve, they're 1 of the many pains VAG cars hold!
