help needed

hi peps new here just brought myself a 1.6 a3 which is a year 2000 brought it as lil project car which had been in a front end accidient ended up buying a front bumper and the facelift headlights as the orignal ones had the seprate indicators been seem to be having trouble getting the lights in seems a bit of the wing needs to be cut but iv been told the new models that had the headlights the wings would fit straight on which is a 2001 onwards so thought best bet would be to ask on here first any advice would be greatful oo ello every1 lol
