I have recently bought my first Audi ( A6 2.5 tdi 1999) and after one week of bliss I have had two weeks of hell!

First the car started to smoke and I took the car into a garage and they thought it was the fuel injector. So they ran diagnostics and nothing came up. I then got directed to a diesel specialist and they found nothing wrong with any fuelling issues.

I then took to a garage in Coventry that ws recommended as they were Audi/VW specialists and hey said faulty turbo straight away. So I said go ahead to replace ( £750 ) and now they are saying that the engine is goosed!!! Something to do with engine pressure being too high.

I am now faced with a dead car, bill for the turbo and I am days away from my son being born. No comeback on the seller as far as I am aware

Does anyone have any suggestions on replacing engines, anyone interested in buying as I need to cut my losses. The car itself is in brilliant condition hence why I bought it and has all the service history. Not that great I know now as apparently the engine is knackered.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
