Help needed A3 engine identification

Just last week I purchased this 2005 AUDI A3 T FSI QUATTRO SPORT TURBO (1984CC PETROL, 6 SPEED MANUAL, 5X DOOR SPORTBACK)
and decided I would give it an oil change, but I cant get the engine cover off to identify the engine code, apparently there is more than one type of oil filter for this engine, so does anyone know how the heck you get the cover off? I have disconnected the hoses but it wont budge.
any help would be much appreciated.

The engine code ( I think AXX is right ) is on the inside front cover of the service book and in a sticker in the boot.

Pull the cover from the back first they really tight that's the way they are
