what did your key look like? Was it the switchblade style key with the two (or three) buttons to lock/unlock the doors? or was it just a regular looking key?

it was the regular style looking key... why is it so hard to even get it through the dealer. y does it take so long... i know nothing of audi... i just recently switched from my acura......
The keys are lazer cut by VIN I believe. This is my thinking on it, not sure im right but sounds pretty reasonable. They have to get your VIN, send a request to who does the lazer cuts, they send the key back to audi for you, audi tacks on a lot more money then it cost them to get it cut... and you get your key.
