    Hi Guys,

My clutch has been slipping today in both high and low revs and refusing to go into 2nd gear from 1st, will go from 3rd to 2nd no problem.

Do you think I need my clutch replacing and will I have to renew my flywheel as well.

My engine is a 1.9 tdi - engine code AVF will my car be DMF or SMF ?

    Thanks Susan

Hi, sounds like the clutch is on its way out. Mine is an AVF and it has a DMF but I only replaced the clutch when mine went 6 months ago, I've had no problems with it since. As long as you aren't getting any vibration from the DMF then it should be ok. I would replace it sooner rather than later though.

Thanks, haven't felt any vibration through the clutch so hopefully the flywheel is ok. I'm going to replace the clutch very soon lol

Similar issues as to what's happening to mine on the 2.5tdi. Really difficult to get into gears and generally unpredictable.
It's going in for a new clutch, dmf, slave cylinder and gearbox oil at the end of the month, so hoping things will get sorted.
