Help and advise needed

Hey, on my way home from work i pulled away from a set of traffic lights quite hard. Whilst doing so, in 1st i heard a loud bang, and now have a strong vibration at speeds above 15mph. Have got it up on axel stands now but cant see anything obvious.

I have checked all four drive shafts and they all appear ok. The vibration also makes a banging/slapping noise on the underside of the car. It sounds like its coming from directly under neath the gear stick.

The only thing i can think of is the prop shaft mounting in the middle?

Has anyone had this fail? Or anyone got any suggestions?

It does sound like prop shaft, maybe uj's ?

Im a novice when it comes to prop shafts lol, when you say uj's do you mean the centre joint?

Just a quick update, my local garage has diagnosed the fault to be the centre joint of the prop-shaft. My question is can i have the propshaft left out and just run it as a FWD if my extended warranty wont cover it? This would only be temporary untill i manage to gather the funds to repair the car properly?
