Never really ventuered out of the 8P area, but i have a question for you guys.

I'm thinking of buying a 2.0 TDi Cab but i cant seem to understand why they have different front ends on them?

For example 2006 AUDI A4 2.0 TDi S Line Cabriolet

And this one has a much nicer front end

2006 Audi A4 Cabriolet 2.0 TDI S-Line 2dr

Im sure someone will englighten me soon

The first one doesn't look like a S-line to me

A lot of them on the net are like that. No idea why, came up as an S-Line when i got an insurance quote? I couldn't even justify it being a facelift because they're both registered in the same year. There's some 08 plates that look like the first one iswell.

For some reason the S-Line cabs only came with S-Line bumpers if chosen as an option. This didn't happen with the saloons or avants, you got the S-Line bumpers if it was an S-Line trim.

Oh okay, so if i manage to find a cheap one without the s-line bumper, is it a relatively simple swap?

Yeah it should be a straight swap as far as I'm aware, though you'd need the slightly longer S-line grill too.

I've just noticed after looking at your examples then pistonheads, the cab never got the b7 styling line in the top of the doors/wings. The side profile is that of the b6.

Interesting find on the sline bumpers.
