I feel like a noob again!

Hello all, I'm zipper and I'm a member of uk mkivs.net (currently selling my mkiv GTi 1.8T..modified!) which I joined in 05. I'm finally making the move over to Audi and am busily scanning all the auto mags for a tasty S3.

I'm also a member of Bucksvag.net which is a VAG based group of thirty or so drivers who meet regularly around the Bucks area.

Anyway, looking forward to talking to you all soon:respekt:

Cheers mate, Ive started looking nationally for S3s now..the mileages aren't that bad so far. My Golf has hit the 110K mark which was fine but in the last two weeks the car feels like it's dying! I'm taking it to APS in a fortnight and going to let them have a look over..Am really looking forward to finding the right S3- I've had Golfs for eight years- anything I should avoid regarding the S3- there's a 210 and 225 BHP correct?

(just tried to post a link to my Golf but I need to send two posts..why cant I upload my avatar pic, any ideas it's 99x100 - 2KB

Ah, I feel at home now! The mkivs lot know me as zipper as do the bucks vaggers but on ukmkivs I'm "nd1.8t"

No idea what's happened to mine..last week or so and it fels like a bag of nails, it's ratling, the back box or sports cat is banging like mad since I fitted the Forge TIP, N75 valve..It will probably be fine when APS give it a good seeing too but I'm ready to move on

ha I was in club VR6 ..great fun with those guys,

Ahh so is the 210 preferable slightly to the 225??..sorry to sound like a dumbo but I'm very new when it comes to the S3 except everyone has been telling me to get one for the last 12 months!! I've been reading up a bit but this is the best place for info that I can grasp.

    Cheers

    try here as well,
Follow the sticky threads on the 8L A3/S3 section for guidelines also Ess Three/ChrisS3 are good sources of solid unbiased info (even though one drives a porsche and the other an estate!)

Cheers mate, :icon_thumright: hmm it's acting very weird though..it's been smashing since I've had it, everytime someone's posted on the mkivs net moaning about what a let down golfs are i've been able to put my hand up and quote eight years excellent running history, bar one coil pack ignition failure and that's it..um, until now..I've had the AA out twice in the last week, it feels like it's running at about half the power..no idea what's going on, though I'm sure APS will get to the bottom of it!
