I have an A3 with climate control with the "common" worn heater motor problem. I know the motor is behind the glove-box, but how easy is it to access, remove and replace and do you need any special tools. Is it just a plug and play item or is it a big job?

you will need a torx bit to remove the glovebox screws (cant remember the size), after you remove them all including the ones under the panel at the side of the car, that IIRC is isnt too tricky.

Yes as khufu says it's a 20 minute job, probably the easiest job on an Audi
