Are these a different set of seats to what you currently have or are you asking about retrofitting to current seats?

Wiring needed (are they there though but just need connecting?) - are you on about the loom for the heating on the car part of the loom or about the seats that are heated. if car loom i would say that they are not there, not seen or heard pf any car that didnt have heated seats from standard that had the heating loom, mine included

Ill need switches for the dash - since you seem to own a facelift TDI (from your sig) the standard places for the switches are in the climate control module, so one with heated seat dials would need to be sourced, if it is a prefacelift then the switches mount in the two blank buttons above the H/U,

hope thats of some help to you, i asked about when i tried to do this but to no avail

summed up what i was trying to say in a much easier way, i get a little carried away

The wiring loom from car to seat will need to be purchased as i havent heard of of car that doesnt have heated seats with a loom already in

if the new seats have heating there should be a green plug with the airbag / power adjustment plugs, if there isnt a green plug then there isnt heating elements installed in the seats

Prefacelift - switches can be put in standard locations
Facelift - dial heating - would need to either buy prefacelift switches and mount somewhere in car, pretty difficult IMO
Facelift - climate control - would need to source a unit with the heated switches in

sorry for the double post, just re read what i put and it sounded a little muddled and arrogant

Thanks, they are S3 seats, i have normal seats, but leather, i want heated seats and was hoping wiring may of been there like with wing mirrors sometimes (just being hopeful i think)

    the seats are defiantly heated.

Purchase the loom? any idea of the best place?

or is this just a massive ball ache?

Similar to myself, I have S3 seats but originally i had not heated, non electric cloth seats. I had only airbag wiring in mine, thankfully i found a recaro wiring loom on ebay for £10 but only for power, no heating :(

et voila - KUFATEC GmbH & Co. KG - Kabelsatz Sitzheizung Audi A3 8L 30000 one heated seat loom
What heating / climate panel do you have?

Ahhh lucky sod, i would give anything for a double din unit

I dont know whats involved, i imagine its a case of glovebox and drivers side equivalent off if the centre console needs to be removed. other than that i would say its a case ofunpluggin g the old and plugging in the new, in relation to the heating loom i imagine its a case of hiding the wiring under the carpet and just plugging both end in

audi s3 climate control unit 2002 | eBay this is the actual unit for you, the shaped one for use with double din

It's not a small job. All the dash come apart fairly easy. I'd allow a good day personally if you fairly competent
