As the title suggests putting the heated rear screen on my 2005 a4 avant b7 makes the radio reception unlistenable. Ive done a bit of research but cant find a definate answer to the problem. Im trying to find the amplifier unit for the aerial, but all i can find in the rear right boot panel is a karmon amplifier part number 8e9 035 223. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is a common failure on the B6 & B7 - there's a filter inline between the screen element and the amplifier, when that filter fails you get interference when you turn the heated rear window on.

Swap that first, not the amplifier.

Not 100% sure, but I think it might be in the taligate of the Avant?

Can anyone confirm or correct that?
