Heated mirrors

anyone shed some light to if my car shiuld have heated wing mirrors

2007 avant se tdi 140
It iver has them and there not working or it just doesnt have them lol

If doesnt have them is there away of getting heated mirrors to fit and work?.

If I remember correctly, doesn't the outside temperature need to be below 5 degrees, and possibly the heated rear window enabled?

Yes as far as I'm aware the wing mirrors work only when rear window element is turned on

I remember reading that all the cars came with the wiring for the elements. If you don't have heated mirrors, when you take the glass out there is no element but the wires are stuck to the rear of the mirrors. You can buy the correct mirrors and they should work! Try googling it and you should find a solution.

exterior mirror heat function is activated when rear heated window is switched on and the outside air temp is below the set level, page 79 of the owners manual, you would be amazed at the amount of info in that book.
