I would say yes, if you have poor radio reception you may need an amplified aerial booster, this will send a feed down the coaxial to power the rear aerial booster.
 
Haven't made the dive yet, trying to make sure I don't spend too much over the coming months due to buying a house!! As soon as i know I can afford it without touching my overdraft, I'll get it sorted :)
 
Right, I dove in last week, cable was ordered as i didn't have the right one, just gone to fit it all in and..... nothing. No power. Luckily, whoever did the handsfree install had wired in a fused line from the ignition. Power achieved! Next up, no sound. At all. Not even static. Help?!
 
I would look for a cable (Bose) from incartec or connects2 personally. Seem lot of one you have not work. Think due to the fact it takes the can signal for ignition output and never works very well. Lot of the rest of them have ignition fly lead to run to fuse box for ignition supply.
