Headlight adjuster issue

Noticed the beam from my headlights "wobbling" as I go over a bumpy road at night so checked them out and the adjusters are not properly fitted. The ball of the adjuster has come out of the clip in the headlight on both sides

I tried putting them back in to no avail. Feels like the adjuster ball isn't even getting close to the clip. I checked and motor is fully extended. No idea how it ever fitted...

Am I going to have to remove the headlights to refit the adjusters?

Did a search mate as I have no knowledge of this problem,looks like it may be a bumper off job.Have a look at these...

Thanks mate. Those threads are helpful. Definitely bumper off to remove the headlights, was hoping I wouldn't have to do that, but oh well. Done it before, do I can do it again.

yes, bumper off. much easier with the light unit out.

i remember that its hard to get the ball to reach, think you need to adjust them all the way in the correct direction first using manual adjuster.
