    Hi All,

My GF has a '99 Mk2 Fiat Punto 1.2 8v and the Head Casket has gone on it.

I have seen replacement parts on eBay for £7.99.

Does anybody know how much roughly it would cost to get a head casket replaced?

Hope its not too much as the car is only worth around £900-1000.

    Thanks

ok well heres some advise, the labour to remove and refit will be about £120 as the 8 valve engine is very easy to work on, second thing is you MUST get the head skimmed as headgasket failure causes the head to distort and failure to skim it will just result in the same thing again soon after rebuild. if your saving pennys you can save the antifreeze and run the cambelt again but treat it to an oil and filter change, i would do it but im over in manchester.... good luck buddie
