Good day. Question for you all. I'm hoping to replace my standard head and tail lights with led units. The motor is an a6 2007 saloon. I've seen the lights for both front and rear I like on ebay and another site. However, as a car novice, I need to know if LEDS will just replace the existing lights plug and play style, or is there other issues involved?? Any assistance, greatly appreciated. Cheers.

If your looking at genuine OEM units then you need new control modules for the rear & either a firmware update or replacement module to handle the front units. You also need to make wiring harness changes for the front, but not sure about the rear. It's a fair amount of work. You alos need to remove the front bumper to fit the front units.
If your looking at aftermarket units then you may find some that are plug & play.
