having trouble fitting mirrors.

Hi

I have recently brought an audi s3 2000. I have also brought some chrome mirrors for it but i carnt seem to fit them. Does anyone know if you need a special tool to remove the mirror from the part whitch is fixed to the car, as the wholes on my old mirrors are in different places to the ones on my new chrome mirrors?

Robby, the housings on the facelift S3 are different to the prefacelift, maybe thats the difference??
