has anyone fitted new anti-roll bars

    has anyone fitted new anti roll bars so their s3 or a3? do you know if you have to drop the sub frame?

    For the rear on the S3 you just need to lower the heatshield and exhaust (might be possible without if your lucky) for the front I think it's a subframe off job, but some on here have managed to do it by just lowering the frame.

    Think if you search you should find lots of discussions on this.

    Hi,
    yes to do the front ARB you have to lower the subframe, also undo the stearing rack after first securing it to the springs with rope so it doesn`t drop with the sub frame. You also need to remove the dog mount (think thats what its called.

    be carefull with the passenger side ARB bush bracket as this also is attached to 2 pipes (air con I think) so there is a bolt to take out (that can be tricky) before you remove the passenger side clip.

    I did mine on a friends ramps so was easier really Id advise to get the front of the car in the air supported and both wheels off.

    Don't forget, if you're dropping the subframe you'll need a re-alignment :D

    re-alignment to the geomentry? or the toe in and out?
