Hi guys,

Recently got back from a ski season and whilst i was out there noticed that my s3 only has power to the front wheels, which was a bit of a pain as the whole reason i bought the s3 was for the quattro in the snow!

Anyway i have no error lights or anything come up but its definitely not working. Now do i have any ways of finding out myself before i take it to audi and have to pay for them to inspect and then fix? Or do i need to find somebody with vcds and get them to check for any faults on it? I've read up and found that a few people have had the pump go.

Thanks in advance, Josh.

Definitely get a vcds on it, that way you'll know and can then get prices to fix from Audi or Indy. Audi will charge to diagnose the fault as well so better if you can tell them what the problem is.

Okay thanks mate, I may aswell buy a ****** vcds the amount I've needed one lately!

I had this on the RS 3 as you say no warning light, when I scanned it with vcds the Haldex clutch pump had packed up.
Took it to Audi and it was fixed under warranty.

Nice one mate, better check when my extended warranty runs out haha

I just replaced mine today :)

I have 4wd again :)

I can provide you with a new pump at a good price if you're interested.

+ on a plus note these are very easy to fit.

Just a fairly costly small item.

Cool is it just unbolt and re bolt?

What is the cost out of interest?

Thanks
