Hi, I would like to get some H&R springs for my S3 and wondered if anyone had any before and after pics of what the car looks like with the drop (think its 25mm).

I am sure it would compliment the car, but would like to see what it looks like before doing it.

Thanks

In fact a little advise as well would help. I've read on here that its not advisable to just put the springs on to what the car has already. Should I be looking at other things to complete the job. (Novice!!)

How many miles have your dampers covered?

It is usually best to get matched springs and shocks but the H&R springs do seem to work well with the standard S3 dampers.

Without wishing to hijack Matt's thread ..... Damian - do you carry H&R springs for a 2009 2.0 TFSI S-Line (non Quattro)?

Hi Damian, thanks for reply

The car has done 26600 and is a 56 reg, so a nice slow gain in mileage!! Happy days if they will fit straight on with out anything else, but dont want to do any damage. I assume it would also need a re-alignment? If I was to fit myself, could a local garage do the re-alignment?

Thanks for the pics. Does it run ok with the stock shocks? I guess with me having 18's and not 19's it may actually be more than do'able?

Boydie; the pics that are on your photobucket are they 18's or 19's and is that with or without the H&R's?

Cheers

Yeah it's always best to get the alignment checked after changing suspension.

Hi, Does anyone have a side on pic of an S3 with 20mm or 25mm drop (via springs on standard shocks), no spacers and with standard S3 alloys and tyres? If I was to go for just the springs would I need to change any tyre profiles etc, or can it be seen as a quick, not to expensive way of gaining looks and performance?

Cheers

no problem mate.
my car isnt an everyday car.
i have another vehicle.

and in all honesty i find the ride really hard with the stock shocks!

I suppose thats understandable on 19's with very low profile tyres. I would say the standard 18's and tyres, wont be too bad.
