Anyone out there ever organised or taken part in a Gumball rally type event?

I'm looking to sort something out on a very small scale with a few work colleagues and am looking for advise or tips from anyone with experience. Obviously we will not condone speeding or dangerous driving and therefore will disqualify anyone found to be doing so, but are looking at the possibilty of photographic checkpoint evidence and times of some sort. Anyone got any ideas?

insurance for the type of function is hard to come by and you need to cover legals...as a "just in case"

depends how u do it.. you need to get permission off the coucil to hold a start and finish line and also to get traffic police to agree to it as long as no rules are broken etc...

you need wardens and security for the cars

you need costs for all the people working on the event.. etc etc..

big costs..
