Grill surround

Just wanting people's opinions. Would a black surround look right on my lava grey a3. Anyone got any pics? Here's mine

I did attempt to vinyl wrap but couldn't get it perfect so thinking of using plasti dip. Anyone know best place to get this and will one can be enough?

I did this on my blue A3, i just got a can of PlastiKote from b&q/homebase...cant actually remember. One can easily did 6 coats.

I took the bumper off, and removed both grills and masked the rings. Just sprayed the whole grill, even the back. I only did this because people on here saying it starts to peel etc when they masked and sprayed on the car, so i though a whole "skin" would minimise this.

Still looks as good as the day i put it back on the car

This is what i got. I think its pretty much the same. Like i said worked a treat for me.

Just remove/clean/spray and leave over night and replace in the next morning. That is what i did and its still perfect. Its been on since Oct last year.

They are not the same.

Plasti-kote is basically a paint, plasti-dip is a spray on rubber coating that can be peeled off.

Very different animals.

Thats probably why mine is still good lol, I'm not looking on reverting anyway
