So saturday i went and bought myself an S3! Hurrah. Had a look at a few before hand but decided on this one in the end.

So after driving it the two hundred miles from bradford to troon, getting the ferry to larne and driving home i have decided this... I freakin love it!!!
Its got FSH with only one stamp not being a main dealer, mechanically its perfect, no mods (clean slate for me!) The only things wrong with it are the wheels are kerbed to death, not deep just lots of it.
And some little **** decided that they didnt like it so ran their key across the bonnet and o/s front wing resulting in three scratches about 4,7 & 15 inches. Wheels are being refurbed in the near future, im thinking white but need to see some pics of someone that has this done already. And the scratches are being sorted on the third of next month.
Heres a few pics that were on the sale post, will post a few of my own when it stops ******* down!

£3600. I dunno. Im thinking i may just get them refurbed to standard or possibly gunmetal/dark grey and use em as winter wheels koz im going to get me some RS4 wheels towards the end of the year.
Thanks Nogmeister! Best colour by far imo, especially with that interior! Love it!
Im also gonna get the paint corrected and detailed after the scratches are done, no point doing it beforehand really!

Thanks mate. Im over the moon with it!! Love how it pulls all the way through the rev range. My last car was a small turbo escort cosworth running 280bhp and even though it was the t25 it still had a little bit of lag.
Was sat behind a car on the motorway saturday afternoon doing 80, pulled out, put the foot down a little bit and before even realising it i was at 120!! Didnt realise roundabouts could be fun until now either!

Quite like these too. 18" VOLKSWAGEN ALLOY WHEELS BORA BEETLE CORRADO GOLF MK4 VENTO AUDI A3 TT > 2003 | eBay

Well done on the car mate its a cracker lol great colour I had the avus wheels when I got mine and decided to get the RSTT wheels for it have them in dark chrome!

Can see that your first pictures are at Troon port you must have been excited!

Cheers scotty! Yeah thats after the drive up from bradford. Had a slightly embarassing moment at the port though. Ferry was delayed so was sat for three hours, with the stereo on and charging my phone, the inevitable happened and i had to get a bump start! Easier car to bump though! took about 20 metres!
Im thinking that the new style TTRS wheels look lush too, dunno if theyd go though?

My friend has those on his a4 and the ones he has are 19s when I saw them I was gonna steel them lol 3 hours wait on the ferry thats a joke but it is funny about bump starting your car you must have been stressing thinking you had bought a lemon lol

Nah, as soon as i turned the key i knew what id done and just hung my head in shame! Just had a look at the pics on your "done a few things" thread. Love those wheels in that colour!!! Liking the contrasting centre caps too, dont think theyd look better colour coded at all! Might have to try and find me a set after seeing that! haha!

Funny you should say that when I got my wheels powdercoated the place didn't have the spray paint to match so the centre caps are the standard colour! I got my wheels on gumtree mate its probably the best place to find bargins tbh!

Yeah tried gumtree. No luck. :( Not overly fussed though as itll be a few months til i get new rims anyway. Sorting scratches out and getting her detailed first. In the meantime ill be removing the N249, possibly getting a jetex and doing the stealthy airbox mod. Thanks liquid!

Aye my car is getting a front end respray done at the minute I bought the stuff to do the N249 delete and will attempt it when I get my car back at the end of the week!

Just ordered my vacuum tubing today, got a couple of t pieces too just for the future. Still a little bit confused about how to do it to be honest, read the guides but getting confused reference the sai.

Don't have SAI so I guess it should be easier for me lol but I think you can remove it completely and get a blanking plate for it!

Sweet! So its literally a case of running a length of vacuum hose from the underside to the top of the DV and hiding the valve away somewhere? happy days!!

Car looks perfect mate, well done and welcome to the club.

Nice car for a really good price too, what's the year and mileage?
I know what you mean about doing 120 with very little effort.
Look forward to the next lot of pictures.

congrats on the purchas arnie, looks a clean wee motor.

will hopefully see you crusing around antrim soon then???

if i didnt have my green 1 which i spent a fair amount of time looking for, this would have been the colour! nice mate :)

I really like the goodwood green but they must be like hens teeth!!
Plans at the moment are:
Get key scratches sorted.
Full paint correction and detail.
N249 bypass (just waiting for the hose to arrive)
Red dog bone mount (and possibly full polyurethane bushes all round)
Jetex filter and B5 TIP
Milltek exhaust
Stage 1 map
Connects 2 iPhone kit and possibly a new concert stereo as the one i have has some white bits, nothing major but enough to niggle me.
Later on in the year ill be looking at getting some RS TT wheels for her too.
Gonna keep her quite sensible as its my daily driver but, cant help myself when it comes to modding and tinkering!
:edit: forgot to add, im looking at a pipewerx 3" downpipe and 200 cell cat and a forge 008.

Well just spent the last ten minutes doing the N249 bypass as my silicon hose arrived today. Easier job! The only nightmares were the hose clips manufacturers put on are a ***** to get off, nothing a bit of persuasion with a screwdriver cant over come though!, and trying to get to the underside of the manifold is a pain. Removed the plate but may have snapped the dipstick, thankfully the tubes fine, its the actual dipstick itself, phoned audi, £8. Cant complain! Next mod? Jetex filter in the OEM airbox. That can wait til next week when im off shift though. Quick one on that note. does the jetex (80mm neck) fit on the OEM TIP? I will be getting a badger 5 in the near future.

Quick update. Just ordered myself a Jetex, a 45 degree elbow and an alloy joiner. When they arrive ill be attempting the stealthy airbox mod as seen by Tuffty. Cant wait to hear it once fitted!!

S1 had white wheels nobody says that look ****e.
Your choice mate, go with what you like, your car.
Err by the way i have white wheels, but there lightweights and i needed a new set due to pot hole city where i live.
Good luck with the car

:haha: Seems like everyone breaks something to do with their dipstick when they do N249 Bypass lol I broke my dipstick tube :( Got a new one from Audi for like £5 though :)

Nice car pal, and go for the old style RSTT wheels mate, they look shweeeeet! Have a look at mine...

I really do like the RS TT wheels love them in that dark chrome that scottm4 had his done in. But i like them in the original silver too! And i had white wheels on my imperial blue escos too and that looked mint! Decisions, decisions! That does look pretty lush though to be honest Benj!
