Golf R owner - Please don't hold it against me.

Hi

Joined here after being told there might be some good info for my next project. My current car is going to my wife and I'm looking to replace it with either a B5 A4 1.8T Quattro or an 8L S3. The Golf puts down 208awkw and does the qtr mile in mid 12s so don't want to step back too far in performance. Have some plans after reading a bit but want to get some answers before I pull the trigger.

Unfortunately Audi Australia decided in their infinite wisdom not to bring the RS3 in to the country. My R is a little quicker than an RS3 anyway and a whole lot cheaper (TTRS is $120k here vs an R is $65k fully optioned).
