ok quick story is this .. bought my A3 from garage in Rugby and the guy never sent off the reg doc. Tax ran out and i had to SORN the car for 4 weeks as i legally wasn't the owner.

Left it on my rents drive under their tree and the paintwork is spottier to the touch then a chavs face

4 months ago i had:-

megs car wash
Green sonus clay
intensive mez polish
megs glaze
collinite wax

Can i restore the paintwork without stripping it all off again?

Not really; you need clay to remove tree sap, and claying (even with the finer clays) tends to strip waxes and sealants. I would wash it, clay it using a moderate clay to make shorter work of it, then reapply the glaze and wax protection. Should only take around 4-5 hours tops.
