Glow Plug Controller Issues?

    Hi Guys does anyone have any ideas what this error code means:

    1 Fault Found:
    19794 - Control Circuit for Glow Plug Controller 1: Electrical Malfunction

    Freeze Frame:

    Torque: 72.0 Nm
    Speed: 0.0 km/h
    Load: 0.0 %

    I cannot find it anywhere. I am having starting problems occasionally.

    Any help would be much appreciated. :shrug:

    I didnt think much of it and thought it was a previous fault and not been reset. I then reset the whole thing and came up with the same thing:

    Does anyone know what this fault means? do i need new glow plugs?
    I do not have any problems at the moment, but i dont want it to become a bigger problem later.

    I had it on cylinder 3 glow plug. From what I found on the other VAG-related forums it might be the wiring connected to the particular glow plug or the glow plug itself may need replacing.

    1st thing I'd do is check the loom for any wires damaged, if nothing apparent then replace the glowplug.

    Is it difficult to replace the glowplugs? Do I need any special tools?
