Anyone care to point out the glow plug ? The Glow Plug harness ? and all the other important bits in the photos attached. (if you can down load and mark in pretty colours)

143 bhp caga 2.0 tdi cr

I need to replace glow plug number 3.

How does one go about removing the black connector over the glow plug, if that the glow plug supply in photo no3

Harness seems cable tied.

Any help pointing out the obvious is appreciated

Ta

pcitures one and two...is the harness the part marked with RED blobs on top... do i remove that to get at the glow plug?

The Black pipes with the red dots on by the fuel injectors is the return fuel from the injectors. Photo 3 is the hole where one of the glow plugs is located and that is the feed wire for a glow plug. You are supposed to use a special tool to remove the glow plug connector. Most people probably just pull the wire and usually that would work but isn't the best. See if you can locate a pair of long nose pliers and use those.
The glow plugs are located at 5,6,7 and 8. The glowplug at 7 is cylinder 3.

Once again desertstorm come in like a trooper. Am guessing these are from elsawin. Thanks very much. Surprised out of nearly a 100 views nobody could confirm. The whole for the plug is a tight space. See how I get on

BIG BIG thanks for carl for the diagrams and advice...

the morning started like this

i replaced a SET of two.

Plug 3 & 2 - just note a normal 10ml walldrive plug was to wide to go down there. thankfully my neighbour had a suitable extension and 10 slim but tall socket. i used my first torque wrench to tighten to 17nm. Done

Cleared the fault using VCDS, only time will tell, if all is well. and the connectors were fitted back on correctly.
