Glovebox Ipod help

Hi guys am trying to fit the factory fit glovebox ipod kit to my s3 but am stuck on a little problem, the instructions say that i have to remove the brown wire from the quadlock connector, but i cant seem to get it out at all, for those of you that have fitted this kit can you tell me how you removed this wire to connect it to the brown fly lead on the ipod wiring loom

On the side of the quad lock there is a button type thing which slides up. once this is slid up you should be able to take the wire out with a very small screwdriver at either end to push the tabs in, but you must first make sure the slide thing has gone up!
