Some scumbag tried to break into my glovebox, apart from smashing the window (which isnt great) they have wrenched my lock out of the socket now it fits back in the actual lip on the handle is bent, but now I cant open the glovebox .. the actual lock works as when you turn the key it opens, but when placed in the socket on the glove box it doesnt do anything..What p me off is that this is the second time the glovebox lock has been forced and to me the design is really poor and flimsy .
However apart from my little rant are there any suggestions as to what I can look at to see if I can get it to work again? Is there likely to be a part or peice that I need to check before perhaps even having to fork out for a new glove box if the actual box is damaged to an extent that the lock even though it is working is not the actual problem but the box..
Thank you to anyone who can advise I appreciate it
